Join Us for an Evening to Celebrate Our Community

Portland, ME — Cross Cultural Community Services (CCCS) is excited to announce its second annual fundraiser, Stand Together for Unity, being held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5–7:30 pm at New Tides Residential, 400 Riverside St., A4, in Portland.

The evening promises to be a vibrant celebration featuring live music, good food, and the chance to connect with fellow community members dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Why This Fundraiser Matters

Every day, CCCS works alongside healthcare providers, educators, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders to strengthen health equity, foster cultural understanding, and create communities where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Right now, our work is more urgent than ever. Services for marginalized communities are being dismantled, communities are living in fear, and funding for BIPOC- and immigrant-led nonprofits has become increasingly scarce.

As Maine becomes increasingly diverse, this work has never been more important.

Supporting Our Community Initiatives

The proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support CCCS’s equity trainings and health and wellness programming, including our annual Black History Month Community Wellness Fair and our Achieving Health Equity with Older Persons initiative. By attending, you are not just enjoying a night of music and food; you are actively participating in the movement towards a more equitable society.

Engaging with Our Community

We invite you to engage with us during this event. Whether through conversation, sharing your story, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, your presence contributes to a larger movement.

At CCCS, we emphasize the importance of community-centered approaches. We believe that everyone has a role to play in advancing equity.

Conclusion: Stand Together for Change

As we prepare for this exciting evening, we encourage you to join us in standing together for change. Your support is crucial in helping us dismantle systemic barriers and expand culturally responsive support for marginalized communities.

Let’s make a difference together. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5–7:30 pm at New Tides Residential, 400 Riverside St., A4, in Portland. Together, we can create a more just and equitable Maine.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of something bigger.
